Imlil Valley from 9H00 to 17H00
After a morning transfer from your Marrakech accommodation, set off south towards the Atlas Mountains aboard an air-conditioned minibus and in the company of your guide.
Take in the views and, after stops at a traditional village and argan oil cooperative, continue through lush valleys, covered with orchards and framed by craggy peaks. Stop for a camel ride before venturing deep into the Imlil Valley. Pause for Moroccan tea and cake on a panoramic terrace, and let your guide know if you want to get to the next stop on foot, by vehicle, or by mule.
Depart for the village of Ait Souka your chosen way, soaking up the scenery and tranquility along the way. Here, enjoy a traditional Berber lunch, including a tagine (simmered stew) and couscous, and visit a Berber family’s home to learn about their way of life.
Exploring the Atlas Mountains of Morocco without a guide risks missing out on Berber culture and panoramic viewpoints. However, many group tours follow rigid routes that do not allow for spontaneity during the day. This private excursion offers everything you need – with a local guide to take care of the logistics and allow interaction with the Berber villagers, plus the ability to customize your itinerary. A local lunch, an optional camel ride, and a visit to a Berber house are included in the price.
Continue to the Moulay Brahim Gorge near the Asni Valley, and soak up the views of Mount Toukbal before returning to Marrakech where your excursion ends with hotel pickup.
